And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
