THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
