We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
