We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
