We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
