The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And the breath of morning 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
