We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night.
