Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 we are the rangers, 165 We glorify God." 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
