Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
