Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
