Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 to come back to life after we have died and become dust? That is most improbable!" 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
