And certainly We gave the Book to Musa, so be not in doubt concerning the receiving of it, and We made it a guide for the children of Israel. 23 We appointed leaders from among them, guiding by Our command when they were steadfast and when they had firm faith in Our signs. 24 Verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, in the matters wherein they differ (among themselves) 25 Did (these historical events) not make them realise that We destroyed many nations before them amidst whose dwellings they now move about? Surely there are many Signs in this. Are they unable to hear? 26 Have they not seen that We drive the water [in clouds] to barren land and bring forth thereby crops from which their livestock eat and [they] themselves? Then do they not see? 27 And they say: When will this judgment take place, If you are truthful? 28 Proclaim, “On the Day of Decision*, the disbelievers will not benefit from their accepting faith, nor will they get respite.” (* Of death or of resurrection) 29 So (leave them to themselves and) turn away from them and wait; they too are waiting. 30
