Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the white forenoon 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
