Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
