۞ O men! you are they who stand in need of Allah, and Allah is He Who is the Self-sufficient, the Praised One. 15 If He so wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new mankind [in your stead]: 16 that is not difficult for God. 17 And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination. 18 Not alike are the blind (disbelievers in Islamic Monotheism) and the seeing (believers in Islamic Monotheism). 19 And neither are darkness and brightness! 20 nor the [cooling] shade and the scorching heat: 21 nor are the living and the dead alike. Allah makes to hear whomsoever He wishes, but you, (O Prophet), cannot cause to hear those who are in their graves. 22 Thou art no other than a warner. 23 Verily We have sent thee in truth, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner: and there never was a people, without a warner having lived among them (in the past). 24 And if these disbelievers deny you, those before them had also denied; their Noble Messengers came to them with clear proofs and scriptures and the bright Book. 25 but in the end I seized those who were bent on denying the truth and how terrible was My punishment. 26
