S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 Nay, those who desbelieve are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they called, but time was none to escape. 3 And they (Arab pagans) wonder that a warner (Prophet Muhammad SAW) has come to them from among themselves! And the disbelievers say: "This (Prophet Muhammad SAW) is a sorcerer, a liar. 4 Does he make all the deities out to be one God? This is indeed a strange thing." 5 And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), "Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of this in the last religion; this is surely an invention. 7 Has this Exhortation been sent down among us only to him, to the exclusion of all others?” Nay, they are in doubt regarding My Exhortation, and are saying all this because they have not yet had any taste of My chastisement. 8 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord, the Most Mighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or [that] the dominion over the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? Why, then, let them try to ascend [to God-like power] by all [conceivable] means! 10 [But] there it is: any and all human beings, however [strongly] leagued together, are bound to suffer defeat [whenever they refuse to accept the truth]. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties. 13 Each of them gave the lie to Messengers and My decree of chastisement came upon them. 14
