And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 this is Our provision, unto which there is no end.' 54 This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, 55 Gehenna, wherein they are roasted - an evil cradling! 56 all this will be theirs; let them taste it -- a scalding, dark, foul fluid, 57 and other such torments. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
