And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 And take in thine hand a handful of twigs, and strike therewith, and break not thine oath. Verily We! We found him patient. How excellent a bondman! Verily he was oft-returning. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Indeed, We purified them with a most pure quality, the remembrance of the Everlasting Life. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 51 ۞ With companions of modest look, the same in age, by their side. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 However, the rebellious ones will have the worst place to return. 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 The followers will say, “In fact, for you! May you not get open space! It is you who brought this calamity upon us!” So what a wretched destination. 60 adding, "Our Lord, give double punishment to those who brought this upon us." 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
