And remember thou Our bondman Ayyub, what time he cried unto his Lord: verily the Satan hath touched me with affliction and suffering. 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 And We bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of mercy from us, and a remembrance unto men of understanding. 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you,] with no end to it! 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place! 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?" 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
