He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 (Contained) in honoured pages, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 and then, whenever He wishes, He will raise him back to life. 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 Olives and dates, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 and covered by darkness. 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
