The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
