The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand! 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 on lavish couches 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 like hidden pearls, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 and clustered bananas, 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 And water flowing constantly, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And raised couches. 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 loving and of equal age. 37 For those on the right hand; 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
