Noah (Nooh)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Bee (Al-nahl) before Abraham (Ibrahim)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Verily, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people (Saying): "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful torment." 1 He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner, 2 "That ye should worship Allah, fear Him and obey me: 3 “He will forgive you some of your sins, and give you respite up to an appointed term; indeed the promise of Allah cannot be averted when it arrives; if only you knew.” 4 He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and day 5 but my call has only caused them to flee farther and farther away [from Thee]. 6 And whenever I called them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, and wrapped them in their garments, and persisted, and waxed very proud. 7 Then I summoned them openly, 8 And declared to them in public and in private, 9 And I said: ask forgiveness of your Lord; verily He is ever Most Forgiving. 10 He will let loose the sky upon you in abundance 11 And will give you increase of wealth and sons, and give you gardens and springs of water. 12 What is the matter with you that you deny the greatness of God, 13 when He has created you in stages? 14 Do you not see how God has fashioned seven skies one above the other, 15 And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp? 16 And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth, 17 And thereafter He will cause you to return thereinto, and He will bring you forth a forthbringing. 18 And God has laid the earth for you as a carpet, 19 That you may go along therein in wide paths. 20

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
