Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble, recording, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
