Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
