The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
