AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 Such is their noble story. The pious ones will certainly have the best place to return. 49 gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them, 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
