Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
