(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 (Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say, 84 I will fill up Hell with you and every one of them who follows you." 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
