Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 "Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner." 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 After I have created him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down, prostrating yourselves to him.” 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 He (Allah) said: 'iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself towards that which I have created with My Hands? Have you become too proud, or are you among the grand' 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 He said, “Therefore exit from heaven, for you have been outcast.” (To disrespect the Prophets – peace and blessings be upon them – is blasphemy.) 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak, 84 That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all. 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
