Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful - 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 good tidings to bear, and warning, but most of them have turned away, and do not give ear. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Say thou: I am only a human being like unto you; only it is revealed unto me that your God is but One God, wherefore take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe be unto the associators. 6 Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 The righteously striving believers will have a never-ending reward". 8
