Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha Mim. 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 Announcing happy news and warnings. And yet most of them are averse and do not listen, 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I am only a human being like you. It is inspired in me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc. - see V. 2:105). 6 Who give not the poor-rate; and they! in the Hereafter, they are disbelievers. 7 Surely those who believe, and do righteous deeds shall have a wage unfailing.' 8
