54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ha, Meem. 1 A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful, 2 A Book whose signs have been distinguished as an Arabic Koran for a people having knowledge, 3 one bearing good news and warning. Yet most of them turned away and are not wont to give heed. 4 And they say: Our hearts are under coverings from that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and a veil hangs between us and you, so work, we too are working. 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 who do not pay zakat and have no faith in the life to come. 7 Lo! as for those who believe and do good works, for them is a reward enduring. 8
