We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 at the hands of Pharaoh: he was a tyrant who exceeded all bounds. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
