And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 Yet these say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So then, bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses,] if what you claim is true!" 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
