Surely the tree of the Zaqqum, 43 is the food of the guilty, 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 "Seize him and drag him into the depths of Hell," (it will be said), 47 then pour over his head the chastisement of boiling water!' 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 This is the torment that you persistently doubted". 50 But those mindful of God will be in a safe place, 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 clothed in fine silk and rich brocade, sitting face to face with one another. 53 Even so; and We shall espouse them to wide-eyed houris, 54 While resting in security, they shall call for all kinds of fruit. 55 They shall not taste therein of death, save the first death, And He shall guard them against the chastisement of Hell -- 56 God will protect them from the torment of hell as a favor from your Lord. (Muhammad), this is certainly the greatest triumph. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So be watchful, they too are watching. 59
