Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
37 verses, revealed in Mecca after Smoke (Al-Dukhaan) before The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
HA MIM. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 2 In the heavens and the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. 3 in your own creation and all the creatures He has spread about, there are signs for people of sure faith; 4 And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason. 5 These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe? 6 Ruin is for every great slanderer, excessive sinner. 7 He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous! 8 And when he comes to know about any of the verses, he mocks at it; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 9 Hell is behind them. Their worldly earnings shall not avail them, nor those whom they took as protectors instead of Allah. An awesome chastisement lies in store for them. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. Those who reject the revelations of their Lord will suffer the most painful punishment. 11

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
