Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Allah has caused the works of those who disbelieve and hinder people from the way of Allah to go to waste. 1 And (as for) those who believe and do good, and believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and it is the very truth from their Lord, He will remove their evil from them and improve their condition. 2 This, because they who are bent on denying the truth pursue falsehood, whereas they who have attained to faith pursue [but] the truth [that flows] from their Sustainer. In this way does God set forth unto man the parables of their true state. 3 When you meet the unbelievers (in battle), smite their necks until you have crushed them, then bind your captives firmly; thereafter (you are entitled to) set them free, either by an act of grace, or against ransom, until the war ends. That is for you to do. If Allah had so willed, He would have Himself exacted retribution from them. (But He did not do so) that He may test some of you by means of others. As for those who are slain in the way of Allah, He shall never let their works go to waste. 4 He will show them the way, and better their state, 5 He will admit them into the Paradise which He has made known to them. 6 Believers, if you aid Allah, He will come to your aid and will plant your feet firmly. 7 but as for those who are bent on denying the truth, ill fortune awaits them, since He will let all their [good] deeds go to waste: 8 they have hated God's revelation, and thus, He has made their deeds devoid of all virtue. 9 ۞ Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them (who did evil)? Allah brought utter destruction on them, and similar (fates await) those who reject Allah. 10 that is because Allah is the Guardian of the believers, and the unbelievers have no guardian. 11
