Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf; by oath of the Glorious Qur’an. 1 Rather they were shocked that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers said, “This is something really strange.” 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
