He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error. 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
