We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 who hinders good, exceeds the limits, is immersed in doubts, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. 28 The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." 29
