The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
