The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And raiding at dawn 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
