SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 After I have created him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down, prostrating yourselves to him.” 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
