The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in extended columns. 9
