Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
