Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
