Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
