Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter dust by dispersing, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute by command, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur'an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
