Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
