Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
